The day before Labor Day, Sayre, 29, held his girlfriend at gunpoint and stole her car. Noon Labor Day, an officer saw the car going 70 mph and went to pull Sayre over. After a few minutes, Sayre crashed the car.
Existing the vehicle, Sayre was holding a gun. He dropped it, the proceeded to pick it back up and open fire. The officer’s car was stuck by two bullets before Sayre ran off and got into a Nissan Cube.
Oklahoma City Police and U.S. Marshalls were able to track Sayre down and arrested him. Sayre was found to have several felony warrants for his arrest. The Nissan Cube was also found, but there is no information regarding Sayre’s getaway driver.
